A hidden message Caption Expand BlackCaption Expand Red

Each one has a hidden message – an orange thread woven in that is made from the discarded life vests that brought them there. That inspired our new identity for them which weaves a hidden message into the name using morse code and the universal call of S-O-S.

When in Rome... Caption Expand BlackCaption Expand Red
During these tough times, you can find comfort and inspiration in the most unlikely places. Roman poet Ovid wrote some great lines, many of which strangely relate to what we are going through now. He would no doubt be horrified that his name rhymes with a disease that’s now more famous than he is.

Thanks Sam for the great animations!

Did you know the first bike scheme originated in Amsterdam in the summer of 1965 when the anarchist group Provo painted 50 white bicycles and left them freely on the streets for anyone to use. From a small protest movement, now copied by governments worldwide.

If you’re a student, check out the brief & brand a bike hire scheme in your city!

“Don’t waste your time doing stupid work.” Advice from Dorte Mandrup at her recent RIBA talk. We love Dorte’s Wadden Sea Centre, located on the edge of the Wadden Sea - a Unesco world heritage site. The centre marries old and new building techniques with a striking, sculptural thatched roof.

We will never know the name of the artist who painted the oldest hunting scene ever recorded. Recently discovered in Sulawesi, Indonesia, these beautiful narrative images are 44,000 years old, created thousands of years before the images at Lascaux. It has always been assumed that the tradition of narrative painting arose in Europe, this shows that it didn’t.
